Google GDrive Beta - Will Google Replace Your Hard Drive?

Google will soon allow users to save their data to their cloud based computing network as a virtual disk drive.  Tagged ‘Gdrive’, it will allow file syncing and online backup.  Complete integration for Google Apps, a smart sync GDrive desktop client and desktop search utility will integrate this into a great backup solution for high speed internet users.

The drive is virtual, so you’ll have access to it from anywhere on the internet and be able to dynamically connect it to any computer you are using.

A lightweight operating system from Google would make this a complete solution for many users that may be considering Microsoft’s Windows Live and Office Live products.

We’re expecting official news from the big G in the next couple months.
